ENTRIES ARE CLOSED!

Our Spring AKC hunt tests will be held on 4/22/2023 and 4/23/2023 at Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife Area – WEST GROUNDS (Wilmington Exit 1.5 miles West of I-55.)

IDNR and AKC protocols will be followed as approved.

This test will be a double/double held in conjunction with the Vizsla Club of Illinois

This Hunt Test is held under Rules and Procedures of the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB

OPEN TO ALL POINTING BREEDS, BITCHES IN SEASON MAY NOT COMPETE

***** Tracking Collars Allowed*****

The use of AKC approved tracking collars will be permitted in all levels, and will follow AKC regulations pertaining to the use of tracking collars. Information on approved tracking collars can be found here.

We will be holding a WCA sponsored Shooting Ratings test on Sunday March 21st, 2021.

TIME: 8:00 AM CDST
RUNNING SCHEDULE AND FEES:
Shooting Dog Excellent (SDX) $50.00
Shooting Dog (SD) to follow SDX $50.00
Novice Shooting Dog (NSD) to follow SD $50.00

BIRDS: Quail and or Chukar will be used

Field Fun day and WCA Shooting Ratings Practice

WCNI will be holding a WCA Shooting Ratings practice day / field fun day in preparation for the WCA Shooting Ratings Tests 3/21. A limited number of birds will be available for reservation. Contact John Cernak (312-907-2595 / mjcern@msn.com) for availability and prices!

This is another great opportunity to come out and see dogs in action. Or even better to get your dogs into the field!

2020 Member Appreciation Party!

2019 Hunting Test Handler Clinic

You have been requesting it! And we are excited to announce that GSPCI will be sponsoring a Hunting Test Handler Clinic. Lead by AKC hunting test judges and handlers, Mary Cernak of WCNI and Dennis Nowak of VCOI. With an emphasis on fundamentals, we believe this clinic will help handlers of all experience levels have more success and avoid many of the pitfalls encountered in AKC Hunting Tests.
